Rotary Drum Forged Wheels and Tires

When we set out to build rotary foundry drums, we knew we had to build them tough. Extreme temperatures and abrasives in the environment meant every component had to be severe-duty rated. That’s why GK forges the wheels / tires on our rotary drums.

Made from super hard alloys, each piece is forged and then machined to perfection, ensuring a long service life. We utilize similar tire attachment philosophies as rotary kiln manufacturers to compensate for heat expansion. This also allows you to easily replace tires on the drum body without any special welding techniques or tools.

GK’s forged components come standard on all GK rotary drums and replacement bodies and can also be retrofitted to your existing rotary equipment.
